Nor can words do more than faintly express the profound sorrow and sense of irreparable loss, with which we contemplate the breach made in our min isterial ranks. A prince has fallen in Israel. A leader, whose arm and voice were ever foremost in the great battle for' Christ and truth, has been stricken down in the midst of the conflict, and we sadly ask, Who, can take his place, or be to us in the future what he has been in the past?
