Die meisten der auf die Gestaltung der Formen bezüglichen Beobachtungen wurden schon in den Jahren 1872 und 1878 in Göttingen gemacht, ebenso auch ein grosser Theil der Zeichnungen dort angefertigt. ‚die Beobachtungen uber das Herz und Gefässsystem datiren vom Fruhjahre 1878, zu welcher Zeit ich drei Wochen in Messina zubrachte und einige der dortigen Hyperiden lebend untersuchen konnte.
