Voilà mon excuse pour les colons. Soutenir d'une manière absolue la nécessité la justice de la servitude des noirs! J'aurais frémi d'en con cevoir le projet. Il n'y a qu'un examen ré fléchi des rapports de cet état de servitude à l'intérêt national _et des suites désas treuses de sa dissolution qui présente des motifs justes et suffisans pour la maintenir.
