Le présent volume correspond aux pages 276 a 646 du tome V de la quatrième édition (lu Cours de Droit civil français de MM. Aubry et Ilau. La revision des matières qui y sont comprises s'arrête au le'juillet 1914. (l'est a cette date que l'impression du volume a été com mencée. Dans mes prévisions, comme dans celles de l'éditeur a cette date, l'impression devait être achevée en octobre. Les événements que l'on sait l'ont beau coup retardée. _cependant, quelque long que soit le délai qui sépare la date à laquelle paraît le présent volume de celle que nous avions primitivement fixée pour la publication, et, à plus forte raison, de celle a laquelle la revision des matières qu'il comprend avait été arrêtée, je ne suis pas revenu sur cette revision elle - même. Elle s'arrête, comme je viens de le dire. Au le juillet 1914.
Le procédé d'adaptation de mes additions au texte original a été défini dans la préface du tome Vll. Je m'y suis scrupuleusement conformé dans ce nouveau volume.
