Peut - être ces notions étaient-elles un peu utopiques, mais elles n'étaient dangereuses que pour ceux dont elles avaient pénétré l'esprit, et elles por taient en elles la plus bienfaisante des aspirations l'aspiration vers la paix universelle dans la liberté. C'est l'inverse des aspirations des empires du milieu et il était utile de souligner ce contraste.
