Excerpt from The Officium And Miracula Of Richard Rolle Of Hampole
The chief interest in the Office of Richard Rolle and the Miracula lies perhaps in the fact that they together constitute the chief, if not the only source from which we can put together, even in outline, the story of his life. In his writings we find only a few allusions here and there to the actual circumstances of his career. A further interest in the Miracula arises from the fact that we find two of them actually dated.
