EX antiquissimis huius classis codicibus duo saeculi XIV, Laurentianus' LXXXV 1 et Marcianus 225 (u), in hoc commentario fide fere pares, electi sunt, qui huic editioni tamquam fundamentum subicerentur. Nam Parisino 1917 (b), qui iis aetate non inferior est, maior est cum Laurenti ano s'imilitudo quam cuius varietatem subnotare Operae pretium sit. Ex iis autem, qui aetate his etiam praestare paulo videntur, Coislinianus 160 madore ita confectus est, ut longe plurima legl non possint, et Escuria lensis (i) - III - 1o excerpta tantum continet neque ea, ut e'x iis, quae infra proponentur, satis patebit, praestantia ao fide notationis labore digna.
