Excerpt from The Homiletic Review, Vol. 10: From July to December, 1885
The right method must assume that life is limited. Before a single comprehensive course, claiming to be such, should be allowed to sweep over several years, it should certainly possess some remarkable merits. Rather, it is claimed, that the main essential truths of the Word of God should be brought each year, at least, before the minds of those who are being instructed. This would require that the truth be pre sented in new phases from year to year, rather than in extended courses.
The right method, in dealing with the youthful mind, must take due note Of the fundamental principles of education and instruction that have been already established beyond dispute.

Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book contributes to the symposium on ministerial education by discussing the effectiveness of theological seminaries in the training of modern ministers. The author explores the history of ministerial education, with a focus on the past 150 years, and examines whether the current methods for educating ministers are satisfactory. The author concludes that, while these methods have been the right ones for the times, they have not been operated with full efficiency, leading to inadequacies and shortcomings in training. The author proposes a number of new methods to improve training, with a focus on improving the thoroughness and breadth of education, as well as increasing the relevance of the training to the practical demands of modern ministry.
