Excerpt from The Religious Magazine, Vol. 45: And Monthly Review
IT is with much reluctance, and only after other plans entered upon or suggested had failed. That I have taken upon ml'self the responsibility of editing the religious maga zine. I had just made arrangements to retire, as far as a generous and affectionate people would allow, from my pro fessional cares, that I might give myself almost entirely to the still and sacred studies, most grateful to my feelings. Which lead to a deeper insight into the words and life of Jesus, and a fuller comprehension of their meaning and their adaptation to the wants of the age. I had hoped thus to spend, pleasantly to myself and not without some profit to others, whatever of time and strength might yet remain for me. I do not now give up the cherished dream, if dream it is, which has been before me for many years, but hope still to be able to continue these studies, so as to complete the work on the Gospels of which the first volume was published more than ten years ago.

Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book is a philosophical and theological examination of the supernatural and miraculous events recorded in the Bible, particularly the miracles attributed to Jesus Christ. The author, who approaches the subject from a historical and critical perspective, argues that miracles are essential to understanding the spiritual world and our connection to it. They maintain that miracles are not isolated incidents but signs and illustrations of the pneumatology of the Bible, shedding light on the laws and principles governing the interaction between the physical and spiritual realms. Through an analysis of early Christian writings, the book challenges the traditional view of miracles as mere occurrences and presents a deeper understanding of their role in shaping our understanding of faith, spirituality, and the nature of reality.
