D'abord celui de Crise, où, prétend l'historien soissonnais, se trouvait le palais des anciens rois gaulois dont on voit encore des vestiges Il occupait toute la partie qui se trouve a la droite du chemin de saint-crépin - le-grand jusqu'au moulin de l'evêque, et était défendu par-devant par la rivière de Crise et séparé de la plaine d'ourscamps par un large et profond fossé, dont, au XVIII° siècle, il existait encore une partie. Ce faubourg s'est de nos jours complètement agrégé à la ville démunie de ses remparts. Le faubourg Saint - Christophe tire son nom d'une petite église paroissiale détruite au xv° siècle. Très étendu aujourd'hui, il fut peu considérable dans les temps anciens, et, a l'époque de Cabaret, il comptait seulement 18 habi tants 4; c'est qu'il bordait du côté du nord le faubourg de Saint Léger, et du côté du sud celui de Saint - Remi. Les deux derniers, de même que le faubourg de Crouy, qui apparaît dans la vie de saint Médard 5, ont vu leur nom disparaître 6, en même temps d'ailleurs que s'étendait dans leur direction la ville enfin débar rassée de l'entrave de ses murs.
