Sextii perorata; nihilque ab eo pra termili°um efi, quod aut pro republica conquerendum fuit, aut pro reo difputandum tamen aggrediar ad dicendum, ne mea pr0pugnatio ei potifiimum defuifi°e videatur, per quem efi per feétum, ne cateris civibus deefiet. Atque ego fic fiatuo, Judi ces, a me in hac caufa, atque hoc extremo dicendi loco, pieta tis potius, quam defenfionis; querela, quam eloquentia do loris, quam ingenii, partes elle fufceptfls. Itaque, fi aut acrius egero, aut liberius, quam qui ante me dixerunt peto a vobis, ut tantum orationi mea concedatis, quantum et pio dolori, et jufia iracundia, concedendum iputetis. Neque enim ofiicio conjun&ior dolor ullius effe potefi, quam hic meus, fufceptus ex hominis,_ de me optime meriti, periculo; neque iracundia magis ulla laudanda, quam ea, qua me infiammat eorum fce lere, qui cum omnibus falutis mea defenforibus bellum ee fibi gerendum judicaverunt.
