Il me reste à définir quelques-uns des termes dont j'ai été amené à me servir.
J'entends par polysynthélismel'expression en un seul mot des relations de cause à effet ou de sujet à régime. Bien que ce procédé soit parfois employé pour former des mots, il est surtout grammatical. Quand le mot-régime se trouve intercalé entre le mot - sujet et le thème verbal, il y a incorporation. Les langues apparaissent donc, au point de vue grammatical, comme étant analytiques, synthétiques, polysynthétiques ou incorporantes. L'expression de holophmstique est un succédané pédantesque de celle d'incorporation.
