III. Prophecy. The only prophecy uttered during this period, (except that of Lamech concerning Noah, Gen. V. Refers to the promised Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ, and is recorded in the third chapter of Genesis and 15th verse. The import of this prediction is given in lst John iii. 8.
