Vous me permettrez cependant de rappeler les voyages de Rousseau à Lyon, son séjour à Bourgoin de 1768 à 1770. Nous avons des renseignements précis sur son existence pendant ces trois années; il est même utile de les relever, puisque ses Confessions ne vont que jusqu'au mois d'octobre 1765. Les faits que nous allons sommairement indiquer ont été publiés en 1844 par le Dr Ariste Potton, de Lyon. Ce médecin distingué4 a visité souvent, dans son enfance.
