It would be to the general reader a wearisome list, if the names were set down of all the correspondents who have by their suggestions shown an interest in this Dictionary. Some of them have W1itten from America, others from Germany, Belgium, France, and Norway, two from Ireland, many from Scotland, and the rest from England. George Martin, Esq., of Birkenhead, F. Tolhausen, Esq., whose name is already before the public, and the Rev Arthur M. Rendell, m.a., of Costou Rectory, Melton Mowbray, have gone through the book seriatim. Their corrections have been duly inserted, and are gratefully acknowledged.
