In the Secular Department an attempt has been made to give greater variety than usual. The. Glees, Quartets, Songs, &c in this Department will contribute largely to the pleasure of the Singing Class, Concert and Social Gathering.
Choirs will recognize a goodly number of Anthems and Sentences suited to their needs, also a few choice Meter Tunes and Chants. This matter has been almost entirely ignored in most of the smaller sized books, and this feature of good cheer will doubtless be appreciated by the choirs generally.
Good cheer is sent forth to assist the cause of Vocal Music as best it can. And that it may prove to be, in some measure.
