This book, by an anonymous author, is a historical analysis of the Italian Revolution, focusing on the role of the Kingdom of Naples within the broader context of the struggle for Italian unification in the mid-19th century. The author examines the social, political, and economic conditions that led to the outbreak of revolution in Naples in 1820 and 1848, and explores the complex relationship between the Neapolitan monarchy and the various revolutionary movements that sought to overthrow it. The book also discusses the impact of foreign intervention, particularly by Austria, on the course of the revolution and the ultimate failure of the Neapolitan revolutionaries to achieve their goals. This book thus offers a valuable contribution to our understanding of one of the most important and turbulent periods in Italian history.
