La grande et belle fête de Nicolet, en 1866, un peu plus tard celle de Ste. Thérèse, n'ont pas peu con tribué à rendre ces désirs plus ardents, à mûrir les plans que plusieurs esprits entreprenants avaient déjà conçus et à hâter l'exécution d'une entreprise que tant de coeurs aidaient déjà de leurs voeux.
Cette réunion s'est faite: la vaste enceinte du collége, les bosquets, la cour, le jeu de balle, répètent encore les échos de la joie franche, du bonheur sans mélange, qui ont caractérisé cette fête de famille.
