Excerpt from A Review of Rev. George Jackson's Lecture on the Early Narratives of Genesis
John referring to a certain mythical Cain who slew a mythical brother, and to discover the writer of the epistle to the Hebrews speaking of the faith of this same mythical personage which prompted him to make a more excellent sacrifice than his brother; and further, referring to a certain blood of sprinkling speaking better things than that of Abel just as if a re ll person. Christ too evidently stumbled when he referred to the blood of righteous Abel as if he believed in his existence and in his murder.

Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book is a spirited defense of the historical accuracy of the early chapters of Genesis in response to the latest critical theories undermining it. The author engages in a robust debate with the views expressed by Rev. George Jackson, whose lecture questioned the literal interpretation of the book's creation accounts, the great longevity of the patriarchs, and the historicity of the flood of Noah. The book refutes such claims from a Scriptural perspective, arguing that these accounts are essential to the understanding of the fall of humanity and the necessity of redemption. The result is a compelling analysis of the book of Genesis, highlighting the relevance of its teachings to our understanding of human nature, sin, and the plan of salvation.
