After the questions and answers and intercession there made, all knee], and the Bishop proceeds to lay his hands upon their heads, repeating over' each in turn the brief, but comprehensive prayer, De fend, O Lord, this thy Servant with thy heavenly grace; that he may continue thine for ever; and daily increase in thy Holy Spirit more and more, until he come unto thy everlasting kingdom And then, after the few remaining prayers of the service, and, usually, an address from the Bishop, they re turn to their places in the church.
