For three or more Voices, without accompaniment, we must acknowledge that the title of this book was adopted for want of a better one. Still, as the larger proportion of the music here included, may, and should (with adequate talent), be sung unaccom panied; and considering the cxtrcmelv elastic (modern) use of the term Part Song/7 our title is perhaps as appropriate as could well be found, consistent with the brevity which good taste demands.
