The luxuriant religions of Asia shrivel~ into dry sticks when brought into contact with the icy realities of Western Science. Similar remarks made by other most able and learned European Gentlemen who had either personal connection with education in India or were naturally inclined towards it, could be cited in support of this view. In short, the majority of mem bers admitted the truth of this fact.
