The authors have developed numerical models of long-term shoreline change and storm-induced beach erosion, allowing estimation of storm-induced erosion and recession-recurrence curves. The book also explores the effects of potential beach-fill borrow sites on wave refraction patterns. Ultimately, the research in this book serves to provide coastal engineers, urban planners, and environmental scientists with necessary data for both immediate use and future reference, thus aiding in the preservation of New Jersey's coastline.
