Excerpt from Radiochemical Analysis: Nuclear Instrumentation, Radiation Techniques, Nuclear Chemistry Radioisotope Techniques; July 1966 Through June 1967
It is essential that the developed methods be practical in the sense that they can be used successfully on materials in which science and industry have an interest. Therefore, these developed techniques are applied to the analysis of nbs Standard Reference Materials where considerable cross checking of analytical techniques is required throughout the process of certification.
The effort in radioisotope dilution techniques for trace analysis has been temporarily suspended pending the attain ment of suitable facilities and personnel.
A roster of the groups in this section is listed in part 7. The National Bureau of Standards has several pro grams whereby a scientist from the United States or abroad may work in our laboratories for one or two years. It is hoped that by utilizing these programs the section will be able to perpetuate a stimulating environment.

Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This meticulously detailed book reports on the application of radioisotopes and the analytical techniques associated with them in diverse fields, providing a comprehensive examination of the rapidly growing field of radiochemical analysis. While this work may find its most enthusiastic reception among specialists with a background in chemistry or physics, others who are curious about the use of radioisotopes and the disciplines that have been enhanced through their use, namely nuclear chemistry, nuclear instrumentation, and statistical methods applied to nuclear and analytical chemistry, will find much of interest. The author has taken care to include key findings from the preceding year in each of these areas, demonstrating the rapid and ongoing development of each. A major highlight in this volume is the discussion of the design for a new transducer, which enables experiments to be performed more effortlessly and is particularly useful in low-temperature settings. This book will undoubtedly be of value to practitioners in the field for years to come.
