Matthew H. Slater is Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Bucknell University. O'Rourke and Slater are coeditors of the previous volume in the Topics in Contemporary Philosophy series, Carving Nature at Its Joints: Natural Kinds in Metaphysics and Science.
