The structural letters which twentieth cen tury Europe has contributed to the field of typography have been avoided, although they carry in their simple forceful lines the truest spirit of modern artistry. Let some one in years to come use Girder or Futura, or the descendants of these simple, masterful designs; machine-cast Garamond will have to serve us. And we have tried to make a format which is in harmony with Garamond.
