Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book introduces a standardized system for recording all pipeline operation revenues and expenses for carriers subject to the Act to Regulate Commerce of 1906. Following passage of the Act, the Interstate Commerce Commission (ICC) recognized a need for a uniform accounting system to be utilized by all pipeline common carriers, in order to better regulate such entities. Those entities (and receivers/trustees thereof) were ordered to adhere to the classifications outlined in this book, for both their present accounting practices, as well as any reporting required by the ICC. The author's guidance in this book provided a functional framework for accounting practices in an era of significant growth for pipeline and oil industries, and remains a keystone for these practices in the present day.
