Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book is an extensively annotated version of Gotthold Ephraim Lessing's Minna von Barnhelm â" a five-act comedy that was groundbreaking for German literature. Originally published in 1767, the play remains vibrant for its contemporary themes and quintessentially human characters. Set against the backdrop of post-Seven Years' War Germany, the play delves into the complexities of love, honor, friendship, and prejudice. Its exploration of the tensions between duty and desire, the clash of social classes, and its advocacy for individual freedom and cross-cultural understanding, make this play widely relevant today. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
