The present volume shows that country churches succeed by living up to principles which the report recommended. They have been the servants, not only to their constituents, but to whole communities. In a word, they have demonstrated that the church which fully represents Jesus Christ ministers to all sides of community life, and must supply the motive for many of its purely social activities.
