Excerpt from De la Suture des Tendons
Ayant la bonne fortune de posséder quelques faits inédits de suture tendineuse, nous avons eu l'idée de re prendre l'étude de cette question. Les recherches que nousavons entreprises à ce sujet nous ont montré que les eu ciems chirurgiens faisaient à ce point de pathologie une part beaucoup plus large qu'on ne serait tout d'ebord porté à le croire. C'est ce qui nous a amené à faire un historique consciencieux des différents travaux qui ont été publiés depuis Avieenne sur la question qui nous occupe. Nous pensons que cette étude rétrospective ne fera pas double emploi avec les quelques aperçus qui se trouvent contenus dans quelques monographies modernes, car nous espérons avoir comblé les lacunes, voire même avoir relevé certains anachronismes imperdennalfles qui se remarquent dans ces ouvrages.
