In this sequel to the popular guidebook Outbound Journeys in Pennsylvania, Marcia Bonta describes forty-nine new outstanding natural places in Pennsylvania, featuring their old-growth forests, scenic rivers, spectacular waterfalls, rare botanical localities, outstanding wetlands, unique geological formations, endangered ecosystems, and special birdwatching areas. Marcia Bonta is a freelance nature writer who lives in the mountains of Central Pennsylvania. She is the author of Appalachian Autumn (1994), Women in the Field: America's Pioneering Women Naturalists (1991), Appalachian Spring (1991), and Outbound Journeys in Pennsylvania (Penn State, 1987) and editor of American Women Afield: Writings by America's Pioneering Women Naturalists (1994).
