Chen provides an analysis of the political economy of rural development in China during the reform era. WEIXING CHEN is Associate Professor of Political Science at East Tennessee State University. He has published extensively on rural China and is currently working on two other book projects, The Fate of State-Owned Enterprises and the Fate of China and Chinese Politics in Perspective.
