In the summer of 1899, at the University of Halle, a series of experiments in grafting were made on Hydra grisea, and Hydra fusca.
The methods used in the experiments are so simple that no description of them is necessary. Where any new method was em ployed it is mentioned in connection with the experiment in which it was used.
