Excerpt from Man and His Future, Vol. 2: The Anglo-Saxon: His Part and His Place
That is our own stand-point. That is where we come in declaring that the situation which these two revelations disclose to us is a very tre mendons situation, and makes tremendous de mands upon us. One glance at this situation as it is disclosed to us by the discoveries of Science will show us at once what a tremendous situation it is and how clearly it stands revealed.
We have tried to show in M an's Position in the Universe, pp. 56-65, that a form can be as signed to the atom which satisfies the require ments of our knowledge in regard to it. We are not concerned to insist that this is the only possible form which can be assigned to it. But we do insist that the fact that a real form can be assigned to the atom goes to show that the atom is a very real thing and not merely a symbol.
