Die Puppe ist hängend, entsprechend der Grôsse der Falter meist massig und plump, das untere (kopf En de entweder kuppenartig gewôlbt (brassolis) oder etwas verbreitert,_kantig. Kôrper mit starker Flügel und vorspringender Rückenkante. Oberfläche glatt oder die mittel-segmente dorsal bei gewissen Arten mit kurzen Borsten; bei einigenarten (dynastor) sind die F lügelscheiden lateral stark verbreitert. Die Puppe besitzt nur eine bewegliche Segmentverbindung, die eine Bewegung nach allen Seiten zulässt. Die Farbe ist schmutzig weiss bis rotbraun, schwarz streifig und punktiert, unterhalb der Flügelkante in der Regel und soweit bekannt beiderseits ein silber oder goldglänzender Fleck. Bei der Gattung Narope sind die hinteren Segmente ventral stark eingedrückt, dorsal rundlich gewôlbt mit 3 Hôcke'rn besetzt. Zwei weitere Hocker an der Flügelwurzel, am Kopfe zwei kurze Horner.
