Je me pro pose de n'y faire entrer que des pièces, sans liaison entre elles, et ne se rattachant pas nécessairement à d'au tres, qui, prises ainsi isolément, offrent quelque inté rêt, soit qu'elles puissent servir à fixer ou a éclaircir des faits de l'histoire, à jeter du jour sur les moeurs ou les usages du passé, ou qu'elles renferment des anecdotes pi quantes, ou bien encore qu'elles présentent quelque carac tère de singularité, de bizarrerie, etc. Des extraits de nos comptes, qui sont une source intarissable de particularités neuves et curieuses, trouveront naturellement leur place dans ce cadre.
