Excerpt from War, Police, and Watch Dogs
IN writing these pages I have been actuated by a desire to lay before the public certain aspects in which the dog is fitted to perform invaluable services for man.
While being anxious to show what the dog can do, I wish also to state plainly what he cannot do. In connection with police and ambulance dogs, a great deal has been written that is either greatly exaggerated or else totally untrue. I have therefore been extremely careful to adhere to what I have seen and proved to be actual facts during my years of training experience, and also in my investigations abroad.
I send out this book with the earnest desire that it may win many friends for one Of God's noblest creations - the Dog.
