In addition to the indicated medicines recommended in each disease, careful attention is given to adjuvant treat ment. Still another feature is that the dosage of each medicine is given, in connection with the name of the drug itself. It must be understood, however, that this expresses only the practice and preference of the several authors. It is not intended to be arbitrary. It must be accepted as being merely suggestive. The recommenda tion is submitted, to those who use the book, that the dosage be varied in accordance with the results of indi vidual experience.
