Excerpt from The Child's Book of Arithmetic: Designed for Use in Primary Schools
Such is an outline of the plan of this work. The materials for it have been drawn chiefly from the First Steps in Numbers, published in 1849 by George A. Walton, of Lawrence, Mass., and myself, and from the First Book of Arithmetic, prepared by me in 1856.
With these explanations the Child's Book of Arith metic is commended to the favor of those interested in primary instruction.
