He hath been accus'd of haying let ﬂip' into his Di�'tionary favetal fafis, and even fome reﬂexions Which oﬂ'end Modefiy; and, what is fiill, more important, of having fiarted fome Difi'culties, and rais' certain objeetions, which are deem'd to {trike at T the fundamental boettines of Religion He hath indeed endea vour'd to jufiifie himfelf againfi thefe ao eufations: and the publick is left to judge of the weight of his Apologies. As for my own part, I have rather chofbn to avoid doing any thing like this, than to be obliged to jufiify my (elf after I had done it.
