IN presenting Dr. Hanke's manual of diseases of the eye to English-speaking readers the translators feel that no apology is required. It is hoped that it may supply to the student and general practitioner a somewhat full, yet condensed summary of modern ocular therapeutics, together with some notes on matters of importance in diagnosis and differential diagnosis. The book provides a Mum of the methods adopted in Professor Fuchs's Clinic at Vienna, and it is therefore behaved that ophthalmic surgeons will also find it of interest and utility.
