The first part of the treatise which includes the Elements of Geography, is designed specially for the young, and should be committed to memory It is preceded by a note suggestive of the manner in which it may profitably be taught but, where the description of the island begins, the author has not had any age, or class, particularly in siew, but has written, according to his ability, for all who may choose to read.
