Colin Lankshear is currently a Professorial Research Fellow at the University of Ballarat, and a freelance education researcher and writer based in Mexico. Formerly a Professor of Education and research coordinator, he was a Heritage Fellow of the Mexican Council for Science and Technology during 1999-2001. His recent books include Teachers and Technoliteracy (with Ilana Snyder), Boys, Literacy and Schooling (with Leonie Rowan, Michele Knobel and Chris Bigum), and the forthcoming Handbook of Teacher Research (with Michele Knobel).

Michele Knobel is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Central Queensland University, and is currently working within the Department of Education at the University of California, Irvine. She is also a freelance education researcher and writer based principally in Mexico. Her recent books include Social Spaces/Cyber Spaces (with Ivor Goodson, Colin Lankshear and Marshall Mangan), Maneras de Ver: El Analisis de Datos en Investigacion Cualitativa and El Estudio Critico-Social del Lenguaje y la Alfabetizacion (both with Colin Lankshear).
