This is the second impression, dated 1980. The cover illustration shows a bespectacled man's head opened at the crown, with five figures in white coats peering inside. The cover is cream-coloured with a red rule beneath the series name, and shows staining along the top edge and down the left-hand side on the front, with further discolouration visible on the back cover. The spine shows wear and a small split near the head. Corners and edges show handling wear consistent with age. Soft cover. Zustand: Very Good. 2nd Impression. Paperback. Jung found that a 'sense of meaning in life' was essential to human health, happiness and even security. In the first half of life, meaning is concerned with the establishment of the ego, the fulfiliment of biological needs and duties and the achievement of a place in the world. In the second half of life the sphere of meaning shifts to the goal of inner understanding. The aim of this book is to introduce Jung's ideas and his analysis of the structural aspect of the psyche. These views are given perspective by an intitial consideration of other contemporary theories but the the central theme is the same as that which ran through Jung's life and work, a concern for the spiritual nature of man and his need for self-knowledge. 207 pp. (We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. academic and scholarly books and Modern First Editions ,and all types of Academic Literature.). paperback. Zustand: Good. Our good condition books are generally good for reading but not for gifting or collecting. They could have imperfections such as creasing, fanning, inscriptions, margin notes, yellowing, staining on edge or cover or pages, bumps, scuffs, etc etc (sometimes multiple of these). It's a wide category that encompasses anything that isn't almost-new down to anything that is slightly better than poor. We would NOT recommend gifting Good books - these should be considered reading copies. Our books are dispatched from a Yorkshire former cotton mill. We list via barcode/ISBN so please note that the images are stock images and may not be the exact copy you receive, furthermore the details about edition and year might not be accurate as many publishers reuse the same ISBN for multiple editions and as we simply scan a barcode or enter an ISBN we do not check the validity of the edition data when listing. If you're looking for an exact edition please don't order (at least not without checking with us first, although we don't always have time to check). We aim to dispatch prompty, the service used will depend on order value and book size. We can ship to most countries, see our shipping policies. Payment is via Abe only.
