Pasos 2 is the second stage of the best-selling Pasos series which is intended to develop competence in Spanish at an intermediate level, whether for business, holiday or simply the challenge of learning a new language. Pasos 2 consolidates and extends language skills introduced in Pasos 1 and enables learners to develop an ability to communicate confidently and effectively at a higher level. The 14 thematically linked lessons in the coursebook present a wide variety of authentic reading and listening materials as well as speaking and writing tasks based on everyday situations in a Spanish and Latin American context. There are regular opportunities for revision, and vocabulary and grammar summaries are provided at the end of each lesson and in full at the end of the book. The support book includes answers to the exercises in the third edition coursebook and full recording transcripts, while the CDs provide a balance of authentic location and studio recordings with a variety of Spanish accents, including Latin American voices. The pack contains: a coursebook, a support book and three audio CDs.
