Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book is a detailed compilation and analysis of angles measured by triangulation techniques throughout the Dutch East Indies (now Indonesia) and its vicinity during the 19th century. The measurements are presented in tables, and the context of the work is explained in a detailed introduction. Internal consistency was applied to the measurements to ensure accuracy and reliability, and the dataset represents a vast amount of scientific work done across several decades. Angle measurements are also analyzed in relation to each stationâs distance from the origin point of the triangulation, giving insight into the accuracy and variability of the measurements. This book presents a unique historical record of triangulation in a period when much of the area was unexplored and unmapped, providing useful data for modern geographers interested in the region.
