This book offers a comprehensive study of the history of the preaching profession in Italy, within the context of Jewish religious practice, from its origins to the present day. The author examines the reasons for the decline of preaching in the Italian Jewish community and proposes ways to restore it to its former glory. The book also includes a collection of previously unpublished sermons by some of the most renowned Jewish preachers in Italian history.
