Hannmo, Thomas, ein englischer Göttlicher, geboren am Commartin, Devonshire, 1518. Er wurde an Winchester und New College, Oxford, ausgebildet, wo er 1536 Fellow wurde. Er wurde von Heinrich VIII. zum hebräischen Professor der Universität ernannt. Und als Kaplan des Herzogs von Sudolk war er besorgt über die Erziehung seiner Tochter, der Dame Jane Grey. Von einem Protestanten unter Edward wurde er zu einer starken katholischen Untermarie, und beim Beitritt von Eliza Beth verlor er seine Vorliebe und zog sich nach Louvain zurück, wo er wurde, sagt Wood, das Ziel von Popery. Er trat in die Kontroversenlisten mit Bischof Jewel ein, gegen den er während 13 Jahren sieben Stücke zur Unterstützung des katholischen Glaubens schrieb. Er ist verstorben rund 1570.
