Ein Buch von Buzz. Amerikanischer Astronaut, der als zweite Person auf dem Mond wandelte. Aldrin machte 1951 seinen Abschluss mit Ehren von West Point und flog anschlie�end im Koreakrieg Jetfighter. Nach seiner R�ckkehr zur akademischen Arbeit erhielt er einen Doktor in Astronautik vom Massachusetts Institute of Technology und entwickelte Techniken f�r bemannte Weltraumrendezvous, die bei zuk�nftigen NASA-Missionen einschlie�lich des Apollo-Sojus-Testprojekts verwendet werden sollten. Aldrin wurde im Oktober 1963 f�r den Astronautendienst ausgew�hlt und stellte im November 1966 einen neuen Weltraum-Dauerrekord auf der Gemini 9-Mission auf. Als Backup-Befehlsmodul f�r Apollo 8 verbesserte er die Betriebstechniken f�r die astronautische Navigationssternanzeige. Dann, am 20. Juli 1969, machten Aldrin und Neil Armstrong ihren historischen Apollo 11 Moonwalk.
