These are comprised of new entries based on the current literature covering the approximate period from mid-1987 to mid-1988; updated entries containing significant new information which has appeared in the literature in that period; and new entries for known compounds based on further literature research by the DOC editors. Only those compounds of significance are entered into the Dictionary. By buying the supplements the reader stays up-to date with product development. The seventh supplement has computer-generated name, molecular formula and CAS registery number indexes covering both sixth and seventh supplements. (To find the most recent entry for a compound, DOC users should first of all consult the index to the seventh supplement; if there is no entry there the next place to look is the index to the fifth supplement which contains a cumulative index for supplements 1-5; if there are no entries in these indexes then consult the main Work).
